Quirky Shapes : Vintage Lapis Lazuli Drop Stud Earrings in 18ct Yellow Gold

Slightly mis-matched in the most intriguing way, these asymmetrical vintage earrings are made with the highest quality deep ultramarine blue lapis lazuli, flecked with tiny specks of golden pyrite. If Cleopatra had ruled during the 1980s she would have worn something like these.

Manufacture: 
Modelled in 18ct yellow gold, stamped to the reverse of each drop with an 18kt. fineness mark.

Stud earrings set with round lapis lazuli cabochons are linked to triangular shaped drops of lapis lazuli held in rub over settings with closed backs that dangle gently below each stud. The lapis triangles are slightly different in shape, with one hanging lower than the other by design.

The lapis lazuli has been verified by an independent gemologist. Each piece is is of a uniform ultramarine blue with tiny flecks of pyrite.

The longest earring has a drop of  29.3mm, the other at 27.5mm.
The studs have a diameter of 5.72mm. They are fastened with 18ct butterfly clasps.
Weighs 3.15 grams (pair).
