Tear of Joy : Antique Teardrop Lace Pendant with Old Cut Diamond and Pearl

AU$550AU$675Approximately US$367 - US$450

Glimmering and dainty, this lace-like teardrop pendant is an unusual combination of openwork and yellow gold. Set with a shimmering wild ocean pearl and accented with a small winking old cut diamond. In my fanciful imagination this is what a tear of joy would look like. This pendant was converted from an Edwardian Era stick pin, circa 1900.

An optional vintage 14ct yellow gold chain is available, the chain is the perfect hue and weight to compliment the pendant.

Manufacture:
Modelled in 14ct yellow gold. There are no hallmarks present, the metal content has been verified by XRF test. The new loop and bail are also made in 14ct gold. The teardrop is bordered with openwork along two sides, and set with a small old cut diamond and a wild ocean pearl.

The diamond and pearl have been verified by an independent gemologist as natural and untreated. The diamond has a diameter of approximately 2.5mm, the pearl has a diameter of approximately 4.4mm.

The pendant measures 17.48mm (not including the bail) x 8.77mm x 4.69mm.
Weighs 1 gram

An optional vintage 43.5cm 14ct fine yellow gold chain is available, the chain weighs 1.85 grams and closes with a small parrot clasp.

Condition:
Excellent, No faults to note. Ready for immediate wear.
