Purple Smoke : Vintage Unisex Rectangular Quartz Signet Ring in 9ct Gold

A simple elongated vintage signet set with a mysterious quartz gemstone – a mixture of clear quartz and amethyst in a 9ct yellow gold setting. This unisex ring is perfect for stacking or as a right hand ring. Something a little different and earthy.

Manufacture: 
Cast in 9ct yellow gold, there are perplexing British hallmarks on the inside of the band. Possibly the London import mark (not 100% on that) the gold fineness mark 375, something that could be a crown or a building and an e for 2004.

The face of the ring is rub-over set with a rectangular quartz cabochon of clear quartz (or rock crystal) with tendrils of amethyst. The quartz has been verified by an independent gemologist as a natural gemstone. It measures 4mm x 8.8mm. The fractured effect is formed by inclusions within the gemstone, none of which are surface reaching.

The ring is 4.45mm wide at the face, tapering to 2.5mm at the back of the band.
Weighs 2.21 grams.
