An early Australian jewel by Robert Robertson & Sons, circa 1890, set with five fiery Australian opal cabochons in a 15ct gold setting with decorative scrollwork.
The ring is hallmarked inside the band with the marks employed by members of the Manufacturing Jewellers Association of Victoria, including the ‘thistle’ makers mark employed by Robert Robertson & Sons.
The face of the ring measures 18.95mm x 6.5mm.
Sits 4.2mm high on the finger.
Weighs 3.52 grams.
