Description
Converted from an antique stick pin, this cheery little golden flower is a pansy. In the Victorian Era pansy’s were synonymous with the sentiment “think of me” and appeared on love tokens of all descriptions. Pansy sounds a lot like the French word pensée which means to think or to remember.
Handmade in 15ct gold with incredible attention to detail. The pansy is formed in three dimensions, the topmost petals have a stippled texture, with the remaining three in a bright smooth finish, with the crinkly details and raised central stamen that pansy flowers are known for.
There are no hallmarks present, but XRF tests confirm 15ct gold.
Delicately converted from a stick pin with a new 9ct loop and bail, this little flower sits close to the chest when worn.
Measures 13.37mm x 9.65mm x 4.11mm.
Weighs 0.88 grams.
