Lashings of Gold : Vintage 1960s Multi-strand Rope Necklace by Simon Sobie & Co. of 5th Avenue New York

♥Sold♥

Una was ahead of her time. A free spirit with a penchant for adventure, she wasn’t afraid to travel solo to the far flung corners of the world. I guess growing up in Australia can do that to a girl.
She also wasn’t afraid to spoil herself with exquisite jewels – this is one of them. A designer piece by Simon Sobie and Co. of 5th Avenue, New York City circa 1960s in 14ct gold. So fabulous.

The necklace is made of three luscious lengths of rope chain that are joined to the integrated safety clasp. The result is a statement piece that drapes confidently around the collarbones, each length of chain slightly longer than the one before.

Manufacture:
Made in 14ct gold throughout with a heavy gold clasp bearing the 14k hallmarks and the makers mark S14KS trademarked by Simon Sobie & Co. in 1962.

Weighs 37.63 grams.

Size:
The necklace is 41.5cm long (15 7/8″)
It has a little bit of stretch to it for a comfortable wearing experience.

Condition:
Excellent. No faults to note.
