Description
Citca 1860, handmade in 18ct alluvial gold, fashioned in the shape of grape leaves, with vine tendrils and a bezel set old cut paste grape (imitation diamond) on each leaf. The surface of each leaf is covered in delicate details and texture.
No hallmarks are present, which is to be expected in early Australian jewellery. They have been XRF tested as 18ct gold.
The earrings hang from long shepherds hooks, which are quite likely the original fittings.
The earrings have a total drop of 30mm.
They are 14mm wide and 6mm deep.
