Crystal Blade : Art Deco Earrings with Australian Crystal Opal in 9ct White Gold

♥Sold♥

Jaw droppingly beautiful and perfect in every way, pretty sure my jaw hit the floor when I laid eyes on these incredible genuine Art Deco earrings, circa 1920s/ 1930s. The kite shaped white crystal opal are tightly packed with shimmering rainbow colours that pulse and glow with the changing light. These dreamy stones are suspended from 9ct white gold drops in unmistakable geometric Art Deco style. Originally screw back earrings, I’ve had new hooks custom made for these earrings so that they hang perfectly from the lobe.

Manufacture:
Made in 9ct white gold, stamped 9ct to the back of the earrings, and verified as solid 9ct gold by XRF test. The earrings are formed in three sections, each suspended from the one above but able to move independently for fabulous movement. The kite shaped solid Australian crystal opal cabochons are held in place by long slender claws, allowing light to penetrate all around the stones, setting off the myriad rainbow colours inside the gemstones. The opals measure 17.5mm x 7.9mm x 2.2mm.

The earrings have a drop of  47.8mm.
Weighs 2.73 grams (pair).

Condition:
Excellent. Immaculate, even. These wonderful earrings look as if they may never have been worn and lay tucked away for the last almost 100 years just waiting for you.
Ready for immediate wear.
