An unusual example of Edwardian Era jewellery in 9ct rosy gold. The fine trace chain holds an aquamarine gemstone in a coronet setting, from the delicate stone hangs a halo of gold which frames cushion cut natural colour change sapphire that shifts from pale blue to lilac. The necklace blends elements of the Arts and Crafts movement and the Edwardian Era into a refined and contemporary looking jewel.
The natural cushion cut sapphire has a delicate colour shift from pale blue to pale lilac. It measures 7.8mm x 6.1mm x 3.85mm measured in the setting – approximately 1.65 carats.
The round old cut aquamarine is mid aquamarine blue in colour and matches the sapphire beautifully. It has a diameter of 4.6mm – approximately 0.3 carats.
The rosy gold trace link chain is 38cm long. The pendant drop is 5.75cm. The necklace weighs 4.9 grams.
