The Perfect Pop : Victorian Era Turquoise Button Brooch in 9ct Gold and Silver

How great is the turquoise in this Victorian era pave brooch in silver and gold?! Pretty magic, that’s what 💙 I’m confident this is an Australian made piece because the back is stamped “9c Gold Back”, which is really clumsy and endearing – classic Aussie over-compensation. I have an early Australian ring which is stamped “15ct GUARANTEED” because 15ct on its own was just not confident enough?

This little powerhouse is both delicate and punchy at the same time. There’s nothing like a good quality piece of antique turquoise to elevate your wardrobe and provide that perfect pop of colour.

This piece is absolutely divine and certain to make your toes tingle with delight.

You can see a video of this brooch on my Instagram @secret_histories, or online here.

A wonderful little time traveller, this delightful button brooch is covered in absolutely perfect turquoise cabochons. They are all original, with none missing or damaged and no signs of replacements that I can see.

The brooch measures 21.5mm in diameter and is 9mm deep (not including the pin). The hinge and C clasp are in perfect working order.

The turquoise cabochons are set in silver, with the back of the brooch being made of 9ct yellow gold.
