Sweet & Sparkly : Art Deco Diamond Bow Ring in 15ct and Palladium

♥Sold♥

A truly delightful, dear, sweet, whimsical and sparkly little treasure from the Art Deco era, circa 1920s. Modelled in the shape of a stylised bow with easily identifiable Art Deco aesthetics, this confection is made in 15ct yellow gold and palladium, and set with high quality diamonds that sparkle deliciously. As with so many pieces from this period it’s the tiny details that make it truly wonderful – I especially love the openwork sections at the centre, the details defined with tiny milgrain, and the triple split shoulders of the shank. The low profile keeps it snug on the finger, making it a very easy to wear jewel. A rare and much sought after treat.

15ct gold was discontinued in 1932, which helps to verify this piece as a true Art Deco ring and not a reproduction.

Manufacture:
This two-tone ring is modelled in 15ct yellow gold and palladium – the half round band is 15ct with the ‘bow’ made in palladium. It is hallmarked to the inside of the band 15ct Pd.
The plaque style bow shape features milgrain details and saw pierced openwork, it measures 14.04mm wide by 9.45mm tall. Sits low on the finger at 4mm.
The centre round brilliant cut diamond is set in a rubbed in bezel, the supporting single cut diamonds are bead set.
Weighs 3.35 grams.

The diamonds have been assessed by an independent gemologist and verified as natural diamonds.
