Elven Sigil : Art Nouveau Lavalier Necklace in 9ct Rose Gold with Peridots and Seed Pearls

♥Sold♥

Wonderfully whimsical, with curling golden tendrils in the unmistakable Art Nouveau style, circa 1905. The design is otherworldly: Tolkeinesque. It strikes me as something that might have been worn around the translucent neck of an elf of Lothlórien. The necklace is modelled in 9ct rose gold, set with fine vivid green peridots and split seed pearls.

The top section bears a resemblance to a pair of wings, a butterfly, perhaps, or the curling tendrils of a climbing plant like passionfruit or wisteria, cradling a bright green round cut peridot gemstone.
The dangling component is fruit like, with a little trefoil studded with seed pearls leading to another, larger oval cut peridot.

The new rose gold chain holds the pendant on the décolletage, fastening with a bolt ring.

Manufacture:
Modelled in 9ct rose gold with a new Italian made rose gold chain. Set with natural split seed pearls and fine green peridots. Hallmarked 9c to the back of the pendant with newer hallmarks on the chain.

The peridots are fine, vivd green in hue, the smaller stone at the top is round cut, measuring 5mm in diameter. The larger oval stone at the bottom measures 7mm x 5.15mm All gemstones have been verified as natural by an independent gemologist.

The necklace is 53cm (20 5/8″) long.
The pendant section has a drop of 46.75mm x 29.26mm wide and 7mm deep.
