One thing that sets this ring apart from other vintage amethyst cocktail rings is the visible wispy inclusions that run through the stone, like mists in a mountain valley. The setting, while minimal, makes generous use of lashings of solid gold. The buttress shoulders mean business!

Handmade in 9ct yellow gold, hallmarked 9ct to the inside of the band, circa mid to late 20th Century.
The amethyst has been verified as natural by an independent gemologist, although the stones natural qualities are plain to see thanks to the featherlike inclusions.
The stone measures 21mm x 14.5mm x 9.8mm – approximately 14.8 carats.
The setting is handmade in 9ct yellow gold. The amethyst sits in a six pronged basket setting, with high tapered shoulders leading to a 3.96mm wide band.
The ring sits 10.12mm high on the finger.
