Darling Details : Art Deco Old European Cut Trilogy Ring in 18ct and Platinum

approx. US$851.00

An entirely delightful early Art Deco trilogy ring, set with three old European cut diamonds, with small single cut diamonds in the delicately detailed shoulders. The diamonds are bright, white and very lively. They sparkle magnificently in low light or bright sunshine. An absolute darling of a ring.

Trilogy rings were popular engagement ring choices throughout the Edwardian and Art Deco Eras – the three stones were said to represent the past, present and future – the largest stone representing the present. A sweet and scintillating reminder of the power of love to endure over time, through good times and bad.

Manufacture:
The ring is modelled in 18ct with a platinum top. Each of the old European cut diamonds is set in it’s own snug little platinum topped bezel, with milgrain detail. The shoulders feature a clever little arrangement of diamonds and triangles to form a stylised ‘bow’ shape, with a little hand pierced triangle between. This ittle glimpse of negative space is what makes this lovely piece that little bit extra special. Each of the shapes is again bordered with milgrain, and bead set with a single cut diamond.

There is a worn 18ct mark inside the band, the metal content has been verified by XRF test as 18ct yellow gold and platinum.

The central old European cut diamond is approximately 2.5mm diameter, 0.07 carats.
The two flanking old Euros are each approximately 2.35mm in diameter, 0.11 carats total.
The six single cut diamonds have a combined carat weight of 0.06
The total combined carat weight of the diamonds is 0.24 carats.

The face of the ring measures 10.72mm x 3.52mm. The ring sits 3.75mm high on the finger. Weighs 1.65 grams.

Showing signs of love and wear commensurate with her age, this lovely rings details have softened over time, but I think this add to her grace and beauty. Ready for immediate and everyday wear.
