Description
An incredibly sweet and sparkly Toi et Moi ring made during the Art Deco period, circa 1925-1935. Two bright early brilliant cut diamonds with a combined carat weight of 25 points are grain set into square bezels with milgrain edging. An additional twelve single cut diamonds are set into the stepped shoulders.
The ring is modelled in 18ct yellow gold with a platinum top. It is hallmarked W.18.D and the gold content has been verified by XRF test. Weighs 2.17 grams.
Size L or 5.75 on the mandrel, but due to its oval shape and slim band it fits like a size L 1/4 or 6.
Could be resized smaller, but not any larger due to the stepped shoulders.
Valued by an accredited and independent gemologist in January 2020 as having an insurance replacement value of AUD$2145.
