Unicorn Horn : Art Deco Half Eternity Ring with Single Cut Diamonds and Engraved Details

One of the finest examples of Art Deco half eternity rings I’ve had the pleasure to offer. This two tone band was made circa 1930 by Australian jewellery firm Willis and Sons of Melbourne. The Willis family hallmark is the unicorn, and the diamond studded twist pattern on the face of the ring reminds me of a unicorn’s magical horn 🦄

The magic of this ring doesn’t end there, this band is an Art Deco lovers delight with engraved details absolutely everywhere – the sides of the band, the shoulders and all the way around the half round band were all once covered in finely detailed hand engraving which has softened after a lifetime of love and wear.

Set with seven fine white single cut diamonds into the platinum face of this half eternity ring, this ring has elegance and sparkle. Suitable as an everyday or dominant hand ring.

Manufacture:
Made in 18ct yellow gold with a platinum top, the ring features fine milgrain details and engraved details to the sides, shoulders and all the way around the band. It is hallmarked with the W and Unicorn for Willis and Sons of Melbourne, and 18 for the metal purity which has been verified by XRF test.

The seven single cut diamonds measure 2mm in diameter each, bringing the total diamond carat weight to 0.21 carat. They have been graded as F-G in colour, Si in clarity.

The band is 2.8mm wide at the face of the ring, tapering to 2.65mm at the back of the band.
Sits 1.6mm high on the finger – a very easy to wear low profile.
Weighs 2 grams.
