Tulips Forever : Decadent Art Deco Floral Band in 18ct Yellow Gold

Sold

We all recognise roses as being the flower of lovers, but were you aware that tulips have been symbolic of enduring, passionate love for even longer? For the ancient Turks who first domesticated the bloom in Constantinople around 1050AD it was understood to represent ‘paradise on earth’. A fitting motif for a ring to celebrate your romantic union, or as a commitment to your own happiness.

Manufacture:
This sumptuous ring dates to the Art Deco period circa 1920-30 and is made of solid rich and buttery 18ct yellow gold. The tulip motif repeats in relief all the way around the band. It is marked 18ct to the inside of the band.

The band measures 2.75mm wide and 1.3mm thick. It weighs 2.7 grams

Size O or 7.25
not resizable

Condition:
In excellent vintage condition with gentle signs of wear. No evidence of repairs or resize. The aged patina has been left in tact as it lends a rich and buttery look to the gold usually only found in 22ct pieces, but it could be polished to a high shine if desired.
Ready for immediate and everyday wear.
