Tropical Garden : 1950’s Sterling and Marcasite Necklace

♥Sold♥

Tropical fruits and flowers are the motif of this intricate sterling silver and marcasite necklace. Made in three sections, it conforms to the contours of your neck and sparkles magnificently. My favourite detail is the strange round fruit at the centre with its triple plume on top and fringe beneath. So unusual! The original snail chain and clasp are still in place.

Manufacture:
Handmade in sterling silver and covered in bead set marcasite (pyrite) stones of varying sizes. The necklace is choker length – 40.5cm / 16″ and designed for the flowers to rest on your collarbones. The floral section is 70mm long and 18.5mm wide. It weighs 11.6 grams.
Hallmarked Sterling to the reverse.

Condition:
The necklace is in wonderful original condition with no signs of repair. It has had a gentle hand polish, but could be brought to a high shine by your local bench jeweller. Ready for immediate and everyday wear.
