Teensy Terrarium : Antique Moss Agate Fob Pendant Circa 1900

♥Sold♥

Originally a gentleman’s item, worn from a watch chain at the wast coat by a dapper fellow at the turn of the 20th Century. This mesmerising slice of dendric agate makes a fascinating statement pendant, now equally suitable for either gender.

Manufacture:
The tapered length of agate is smooth and cool to touch, deliciously tactile and free from any chips or scratches. It is gently rounded at the bottom, and capped at the top with a 9ct rosy gold cap, loop and bail. The cap is hand engraved with a small sunburst. It does not have any hallmarks, but has been xrf tested to confirm the metal as solid 9ct gold. Quintessentially early Australian in appearance, it is quite likely this dreamy antique was made and worn in Australia over 120 years ago.

Measures 47.17mm (not including the bail) x 14.11mm x 4.94mm. Weighs 5.4 grams.

A chain is not included in the sale, but please do know if you are looking for one – we may have just the thing.

Condition:
In excellent antique condition with no faults to note. Ready for immediate and everyday wear.
