Swish : Victorian Era Sterling Silver Albertina Bracelet with Tassel

♥Sold♥

As with so many antique jewels its the little details that set this delightful chain apart. From the heart shaped terminals to the engraved t-bar to the latticework on the extra long tassel, every element of this bracelet is absolutely exquisite.

Albertina chains were originally worn by Victorian ladies to hold their pocket watches, just as gentlemen would wear a longer Albert or Double Albert chain to secure their pocketwatch. Today these decorative Albertina chains are worn by antique jewellery lovers as bracelets. This example is particularly feminine – hearts abound in the fine details and a beautiful tassel charm hangs from a long chain as an additional decorative detail. The chain can be removed by a jeweller if you wish, but I think the extra swishy-ness is lovely.

Manufacture:
The bracelet is modelled in sterling silver throughout and is in all original condition. It measures 20.5cm long ( 8″) and weighs 16.9 grams. The bracelet fastens with a dog clip at one end, and a large loop at the other.
There are no hallmarks present, but has been XRF tested to confirm sterling silver throughout.

Condition:
Absolutely perfect. The chain has been professionally polished and is ready for immediate and everyday wear.
