Stars Align : Late Art Deco Half Eternity Ring in Palladium Topped 18ct Yellow Gold with Single Cut Diamonds

♥Sold♥

A super sweet and exquisitely detailed late Art Deco half eternity band circa 1940 made by Australian jeweller Selby of Melbourne. The alternating diamond set shapes that make up the face of the ring make me think of shooting stars and planets aligning. A magical band that will look charming when worn alone or as part of your ring stack.

Manufacture:
Modelled in 18ct yellow gold with a palladium top. The face of the band features a series of alternating four pointed star shapes and marquise shapes, each grain set with single cut diamonds. The yellow gold shoulders and underside of the band have been hand engraved. You can find gently worn engraving on the sides of the face of the band, too.
The inside of the band is hallmarked 18ct and Selby. The metal content has been verified by XRF test.

The seven single cut diamonds are 1.8mm each in diameter. They are evenly matched and have been graded by an independent gemologist as F-G in colour, Si in clarity.

The band is 2.56mm wide tapering to 1.78mm at the back of the band.
Sits 1.58mm high on the finger.
Weighs 1.5 grams

Size N or 6.75
somewhat resizable, but this will interfere with the engraving

Condition:
In absolutely lovely vintage condition. There is gentle wear to the engraving on the underside of the ring, as is to be expected in rings of this age. The diamonds are all in perfect condition with no chips or scratches. Ready for immediate and everyday wear.
