Smooth as Silk, Rich as Butter : 22ct wedding band hallmarked for Birmingham 1927

♥Sold♥

A stacking staple, or a forever and everyday kind of wedding ring. This beautiful, classic band has everything vintage band lovers look for: lovely crisp hallmarks; no signs of damage, repair or resize; the gorgeous rich shade of gold that only 22ct gold has.

It’s lovely to wear alone or stacked with others. A timeless treasure that you’ll reach for often.

The hallmarks include a makers mark AC.Co which is attributed to The Albion Chain Co. of Birmingham, trading in Albion Street, Birmingham. There is also the Crown hallmark, the Anchor for Birmingham and the C for the year 1927. What is missing (and there is a gap where this hallmark should be) is the 22ct mark. Super Quirky! Did the Assayer drop his punch or lend it to a friend?? We will never know… I have had this piece XRF tested to verify the gold content and it is indeed 22ct as the colour implies.

The band is slightly convex on the outside, a classic style throughout the eras. It measures 3.4mm wide and 0.9mm thick. It weighs 3.4grams

The ring has been professionally polished and is ready for immediate, everyday wear.
