Sincerely Sweet : Art Deco Hexagon Trilogy Ring with Old Cut Diamonds in Platinum Topped 18ct Gold

♥Sold♥

A delightful handmade diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco period circa 1920s, featuring three old cut diamonds in platinum-topped hexagon shaped bezels in an 18ct gold ring.

Rings set with three diamonds in a row are known as ‘trilogy rings’ – the three diamonds representing the past, present and future. They were popular during the Art Deco period as engagement rings – the romantic sentiment particularly poignant for a couple beginning a new chapter in their lives.

Manufacture:
Handmade in 18ct yellow gold with a platinum top to hold the three old cut diamonds securely and enhance their sparkle. The centre old cut diamond has a diameter of approximately 3.7mm (measured in the setting) or 20 points. The two side diamonds are slightly smaller at 3mm in diamter. The total combied carat weight of all three natural diamonds is 30 points or 1/3 of a carat. The diamonds have all been certified as natural old cut diamond gemstones by an independent gemologist.

The 18ct gold gallery has hand-pierced detailing to allow the maximum amount of light to reach the old cut diamonds for superior sparkle. The band is a classic slim half-round with pinched shoulders. There is an old 18ct hallmark to the inside of the band, the metal content has been verified by XRF test.

The face of the ring measures 11.6mm x 4.6mm. The ring sits 4.7mm high on the finger. It weighs 2.1 grams

Size O or 7.25
resizable to about 4 sizes up or down.
