Ruby Crowned Serpent Ring : Talisman of Love and Life

♥SOLD♥

A pear shaped natural ruby crowns the head of this engraved antique snake ring in unmarked 18ct gold.
Historically, serpents represent fertility or a creative life force. As snakes shed their skin, they are symbols of rebirth, transformation, immortality, and healing. The Victorian’s upped the ante by associating snakes with romantic love, too – but no matter what the era a little snake friend on your finger is a powerful talisman.
Combined with Ruby – the “king of gems”, purportedly the stone of love, energy, passion, power, and a zest for life – I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy lent you superpowers ✨

He has an adorable little face, little green stone eyes that have seen too much to be identified as any particular stone (but I bet you $10 they are emeralds) and a worn engraved scale pattern on his head.

Currently a size K or 5.25, resizable.

Description

The natural ruby measures approximately 4.1mm x 2.3mm. It has been verified by a gemologist as a natural ruby. The ruby does show wear to the facets under magnification as you would expect with an antique ring.

The ring weighs 1.7 grams
