Presently Sublime : Art Deco Sapphire & Diamond Trilogy Ring in 18ct Yellow Gold and Palladium

Sold

The three shimmering stones in this delightful Art Deco ring are said to represent the Past, Present and Future – the larger central sapphire an allegory for the here and now – the trilogy of stones metaphorical of eternal love. This style of ring was particularly popular during the Edwardian through Art Deco Eras – this example dates to the 1930’s.

Manufacture:
The central stone is a delightful ‘cornflower blue’ natural sapphire with excellent clarity and brilliance. It has lovely hints of lavender that play through the sweet blue sparkles. The sapphire measures 4.38mm diameter (measured in the setting) and is bezel set in 18ct gold. Set obliquely on each side is an old cut diamond with a diameter of approx. 2.15mm each in a palladium topped 18ct gold bezel. All gemstones have been verified as natural by an independent, accredited gemologist.

The band tapers and swirls around to meet the stones in a bypass style. The band is a simple half round D profile shape. It has been resized in the past and can be resized again to any size.

The hallmarks are too worn to be legible, metal content has been verified by XRF test. The ring weighs 2.1 grams.

Size S or 9.25
easily resizable

Condition:
This vintage ring shows subtle signs of wear and repair – the repairs have been completed with skill and care and are virtually undetectable to the naked eye. The band has been sized much larger in the past and the band does thin very slightly at the back where the new section has been added. Originally milgrain edging surrounded each of the three stones, but this has been rubbed at the edges over time. The stones remain in excellent condition with no chips or scratches.

Ready for immediate and everyday wear.
