Description
The three shimmering stones in this delightful Art Deco ring are said to represent the Past, Present and Future – the larger central sapphire an allegory for the here and now. This style of ring was particularly popular during the Edwardian through Art Deco Eras – this example dates to the 1930’s.
The central stone is a delightful ‘cornflower blue’ natural sapphire with excellent clarity and brilliance. It measures 4.38mm diameter (measured in the setting) and is bezel set in 18ct gold. Set obliquely on each side is an old cut diamond with a diameter of approx. 2.15mm in a palladium topped 18ct gold bezel. All bezels have rubbed milgrain edging.
The band tapers and swirls around to meet the stones in a bypass style. The band is a simple half round D profile shape. It has been resized in the past and can be resized again to any size.
