Pools of Fire : Edwardian Era Rose Gold Bangle with Garnets in Star Settings

♥Sold♥

Solidly substantial, this Edwardian Era hinged bangle was made to be worn, and worn often. Three large deep red garnets are flush set into the rose gold surface of the ring within star or compass settings, they glow and twinkle mischievously. Deep dark red pools of fire.

Garnets are held to boost your creativity, and in some mythology are symbolic of fire – of transformation, and of course of passionate love. It is said to ground you in the present moment. It is also the birthstone for January.

Manufacture:
The bangle is made of 9ct rose gold, with a small 9c hallmark to the tongue of the clasp. It is quite likely Australian in origin. Originally it was gilded in a buttery yellow gold – the evidence of this can be seen on the inside of the bangle. This has worn away leaving the hardwearing 9ct rose gold visible.

The garnets are each 5mm in diameter.

It is 9.9mm wide, 2.84mm thick
Weighs 20.9 grams.

The inner circumference is 17cm. It is roomy on my 16.5 cm wrist, but won’t swivel because of the oval shape. It has an internal diameter of 60mm x 50mm

Condition:
Excellent. A testimony to the hardwearing properties of 9ct gold, this bangle does not have a dent or scratch to marr its perfect surfaces. The hinge is smooth, the clasp is snappy and does up and undoes with ease. The original safety chain is in place for extra security.
The garnets are all in ideal condition. Truly a glorious bangle, it has been professionally polished and is ready for immediate and everyday wear.
