Description
Early Australian in manufacture and design, with obscure hallmarks that hint at a pioneering maker from the colony of South Australia. This wide rose gold ring features a trio of lively old mine cut diamonds in star settings.
Hallmarked 18c (but XRF tests as 16ct) with another mark that hints at a crown – a hallmark used by many early South Australian makers from the mid to late 1800’s.
The ring is 7.3mm wide, tapering from the shoulders to 1.5mm at the back of the ring. It weighs 4 grams.
