Magic Key : Art Deco Key Pendant in Silver Topped 9ct Gold with Paste

♥Sold♥

Deliciously detailed Art Deco (1920’s 1930’s) Key pendant in 9ct yellow gold with silver top, set with Swiss cut paste stones. The paste stones sparkle like diamonds, and the piece has been made with a level of care that belie its modest materials. Looking just like of a first class piece of jewellery – I won’t tell if you don’t.

On the very edge of becoming an antique, this piece was made in the Art Deco Era, circa 1920 – 1930. Keys were popular gifts between lovers – symbolic of giving the “key to your heart” to your lover. This key need not unlock love – it may be the key of opportunity, of new beginnings, or the key to adventure.

Materials:
Modelled in 9ct yellow gold with a silver top, set with Swiss Cut (chunky single cut) paste stones. The pendant is hallmarked 9ct to the reverse and has been verified as 9ct gold and silver by XRF test. The perimeter of the key is decorated with tiny milgrain edging.

This pendant is a conversion from a brooch – I had the pin removed and added a 9ct white gold bail through the loop at the top for increased wearability with today’s wardrobe.

The key measures 37.2mm (not including the bail) x 11.06mm x 2.4mm
Weighs 2.8 grams

Condition:
In lovely vintage condition. The key remains in excellent repair with no damage to note. The paste stones are all original and all present.
Ready for immediate and everyday wear.

**please note the chain is not included.
