Luscious Cotyledon : Antique Art Deco Emerald Solitaire Ring in 18ct Gold and Platinum

♥Sold♥

A bright green emerald soothes the senses and calms the heart, or at least it does for me. This tiny precious ring is a rare release from my personal collection. I’ve treasured it for years, delighting in its tiny perfect details, but I believe it’s time for it to be treasured by another gentle soul.

This darling ring is circa 1910, flitting at the edges of Art Deco, leaning into a little Art Nouveau, comfortably at home in the Edwardian Era. The bright green square cut emerald is set into a platinum bezel setting, with milgrain edges and the most charming hand pierced gallery beneath. The platinum topped shoulders taper with an angularity that can only be described as Art Deco, but terminate with little leafy flourishes, like a tiny cotyledon freshly emerged from its seed.

The smallness of the emerald is belied by the intensity of the stone, which holds its own against much bolder gems. This tiny treasure is an endless delight.
