Love Always : Victorian Double Flower Ring in 18ct Gold with Rubies and Turquoise

♥Sold♥

Sincerely sweet, this little darling was made in 1879 in 18ct yellow gold and is set with little natural rubies at the centre of each of the turquoise flowers. It’s endearing and delightful in every way. A tiny treasure symbolic of love and endearing affection.

Rubies are known as the “King of Gems” and symbolise abundant love, amongst other things. Turquoises were often given affectionately between friends and loved ones. The hue was synonymous with the forget-me-not flower, encouraging fond thoughts of the giver. The two entwined flowers certainly make you think of two peas in a pod.
