I Spy : Retro Marquise Lapis Lazuli Cocktail Ring in 18ct Gold

AU$1,600.00

A super groovy, high set, handmade 1970s cocktail ring featuring a large lozenge marquise shaped lapis lazuli cabochon, flecked with pyrite. Golden petals surround the deep blue stone giving it the appearance of both an eye and a flower. The high setting of the ring prevents the petals from grazing your fingers and gives it a little extra special fever.

Manufacture:
Handmade in 18ct gold throughout, the deep blue natural undyed lapis lazuli gemstone is bezel set and surrounded by golden petals. An array of slim golden wires form the elevated wire gallery. The band is made of four golden wires which flare at the shoulders.
The ring is not hallmarked, the metal content has been verified by XRF test.

The lapis lazuli measures 19.4mm x 9.6mm x 5mm.
The face of the ring measures 25.9mm x 16.2mm. Sits 13.3mm high on the finger.
Weighs 6.2 grams.

Size K or 5.5
resizable
I recommend wearing this ring tight on the finger as she is quite top-heavy.
Sizing up will involve adding a solid piece of metal to the back of the band. It will suit a larger finger size very well.

Condition:
In excellent vintage condition. The lapis has been professionally surfaced and the ring has been professionally repolished to as-new condition. It does appear that the band has been sized down in the past, but it was done well.
Ready for immediate and everyday wear.
