Harlequin : Australian Opal Inlay Ring in 18ct Gold with Diamond Accents

♥Sold♥

A contemporary ring in weighty 18ct yellow gold, set with diamond shaped slices of shimmering Australian Opal inlaid into the buttery gold surface. Two brilliant cut diamonds are prong set at north and south of the centre of the ring, adding a little sparkle to this unusual setting.

I’m not usually drawn to contemporary pieces, but this ring is one of those rare exceptions that has the special magic I look for. The opals are well matched with infinite depths and strikingly saturated colours. I love the row of tapering diamond shapes, and the little diamonds top it off nicely. The ring has been made with care and attention to detail – the styling is thoughtful and unique. An excellent every day or right hand ring.

Manufacture:
Cast in one piece in 18ct yellow gold, hallmarked 750 to the inside of the band. The Australian opals are inlaid into the gold and are flush with the surface of the ring. The two natural diamonds are brilliant cut and prong set.

The face of the ring measures 6.67mm wide tapering to 4.6mm at the shoulders. The band is 2.75mm at the shoulders, tapering to 2.7mm at the back of the band. It is 1.1mm thick.
