Description
A sweet late Victorian / early Edwardian Era pendant in 9ct gold, formed as a fully functional tiny bell. The unicorn hallmark used by early Australian jewellers Willis and Co. (later Willis and Sons) is found on the bail along with the other marks used by the Manufacturing Jewellers Association of Victoria. From these marks we can accurately date this little bell to having been made between 1890 – 1904.
The pendant measures 20.5mm from the top of the bail loop to the base of the bell, it is 8.5mm wide and 8.5mm deep. The bell weighs 0.9 grams.
