Dating to the late Victorian or Era, circa 1890 this antique ring in bursting with personality.
The star of the show is a wonderful natural oval old cut diamond of approximately 5.7mm x 4.8mm, approximately .4 of a carat. It has been graded as J-L in colour but “faces up” white, and Si in clarity. The eight diamonds in the halo vary in size, but are all approximately 3mm in diameter. They are a mix of colours and clarity from Si – P2.
The total diamond carat weight is approximately 1.2 carats.
All of the stones have been verified by an independent gemologist as natural diamonds.
The diamonds are set into individual bezel settings, made of a mixture of gold and platinum. It XRF tests at 13ct. The classic half round yellow gold band has no hallmarks but XRF tests as 9ct gold. It is has split shoulders and tasteful detailing.
