A vintage collar length necklace circa 1980s made in 14ct yellow gold with vintage freshwater button pearls. This easy to wear and super cute necklace lends itself to a myriad of styling options – it looks *chefs kiss* dressed up or down, or when worn with your pyjamas.

Pearls have been given a myriad of meanings and significance as they have been prized gems through millennia. Some of the more commonly held symbolisms for pearls are that they represent purity and loyalty, but are also held to be symbolic of wisdom gained through experience.

Manufacture:
Made in solid 14ct yellow gold throughout, with an unusual but effective hook closure.
This station chain features a series of eight stations, each holding five lusterous freshwater button pearls for a total of forty pearls.

The pearls are vintage cultured freshwater pearls with the distinctive look of early cultured freshwater pearls which are not made any longer. The pearls all have a full coat of creamy white nacre with pearlescent hues ranging from gold through pink.
The pearls are irregular ‘button’ shaped, and have an average diameter of 4.5mm.

The chain measures 41cm / 16″.
It has no hallmarks, the metal content has been verified by XRF test.

Weighs 8.9 grams.
