Elegant Sparkle Party : Edwardian Diamond Navette Ring in Platinum and 15ct Yellow Gold

A breathtaking early 20th Century diamond ring in stunning original condition. It is elegant, sophisticated, refined and quite literally dazzlingly beautiful.

Top quality single cut diamonds have been pave set into the kite shaped platinum top. Single cuts are regarded as the very best cut for pave settings as they reflect the light most brilliantly en masse, and these little sparklers do just that. The stones have excellent clarity, cut and colour. Milgrain detail finishes off the gently scalloped edges all the way around the perimeter of the face of the ring.

The undercarriage and band are made of 15ct yellow gold, held to the face of the ring with classic little rings of platinum. This allows the maximum amount of light to reach the diamonds and let them work their magic. True story: I was driving home late one afternoon wearing this ring and when the sunlight hit the ring from the right angle the entire roof of the car lit up with dancing rainbows ✨. Probably a dangerous driver distraction, but it was so wonderful!!

The band tapers to a knife edge at the shoulders in that classically elegant early 20th century way. The band is 1.8mm wide and 0.8mm thick. There is no evidence of past resizing.

This ring is so very lovely. I can’t find a single thing to fault about it.
