The sweetest little slip of gold with a bight colour pop, this most unusual ring dates to the late Victorian Era circa 1890-1901.
Two twisted bands of 21ct gold merge into one at the face of the ring, where two natural turquoise cabochons in bezel and prong settings sitting one above the other. Each turquoise is bordered by an arrow of white seed pearls. The appearance is that of two identical bands worn together, but it is just one ingenious handmade ring.
21ct gold is a very soft metal, and perhaps because of this a number of the prongs have worn down significantly. The turquoise cabochons are very securely set with the remaining prongs and a small invisible dose of epoxy underneath, just to be safe. When I first received this ring the pearls were badly worn and had lost all their nacre. Fortunately I know a jeweller who specialises in antique restoration and was able to have the worn out pearls replaced with antique natural pearls.
There are no hallmarks present. Gold content has been confirmed by XRF (x-ray) test.
The face ring measures approximately 8mm north-south and 14mm east-west.
It weighs 1.6 grams
This ring is ready for immediate wear – but as with any antique ring especially those set with seed pearls care must be taken not to damage the nacre. Please remove this ring when washing your hands or doing any busy work such as gardening or cleaning.

An unusual late Victorian Era ring which has the appearance of two very dainty rings being worn together. The ring features two natural turquoise cabochons (3mm diameter each) flanked by arrows of natural seed pearls. The ring is modelled in 21ct gold.
