Deep Cobalt : Victorian Lapis Lazuli Plaque Ring in 14ct Yellow Gold

♥Sold♥

Deep cobalt blue so rich you dive right into it. This most unusual plaque ring is made in 14ct yellow gold, most likely in continental Europe towards the end of the 19th Century, circa 1890. The ring mount features engraved scalloped details, stylised fleur de lis shapes that hint the French Art Nouveau style and decorative bobbles flowing part way down the shank. The lapis is a uniform deep, deep blue.

A remarkable ring, truly one of a kind.

Materials:
Modelled in 14ct yellow gold and hallmarked 585k to the inside of the band.
The face of the ring measures 12mm x 9.8mm. The ring sits 3.8mm high on the finger.
