Canopus : Antique Australian Old European Cut Solitaire by Stevenson of Adelaide

♥Sold♥

Canopus is one of the brightest stars in the Southern Hemisphere. It seemed like a fitting name for this bright jewel, made by revered early Australian jewellers Stevensons of Adelaide, circa 1900. This astonishing solitaire is a “holy grail” item for treasure hunters like myself: it’s in perfect original condition, features an exceptional diamond and has been made with exquisite care and attention to detail. An antique ring of this quality in as-new condition is very hard to find, indeed. The icing on the cake is it being an early Australian made piece, making it exceptionally collectable as well as astonishingly beautiful.

Old European cut diamonds are firm favourites amongst vintage diamond lovers, it combines the personality of antique diamonds with the fire and brilliance of modern brilliant cuts. They were only made for a brief period in the early 20th Century, as such they are rare diamonds. You’ll never grow tired of watching this diamond sparkle.
