Blue Baubles : Vintage Etruscan Style Earrings In 18ct Gold and Blue Enamel

♥Sold♥

Classically stylish and easy to wear, these lovely vintage earrings are made in the Etruscan Revival style originally popular during the Victorian Era around 1880. These earrings are not near as old as the original Victorian pieces but are made in homage to the ancient styling. I find these difficult to circa date, but I’d say they are no more than 50 years old.

Manufacture:
Made in 18ct yellow gold with deep blue enamelling, they are in ideal vintage condition. Hallmarked to the reverse with makers mark B.44 and 750 for 18ct gold.

A golden daisy with deep blue enamel petals is attached to the ear wire, a short length of chain leads to a golden ball, covered with Etruscan ropework details and flooded with blue enamel. The balls are hollow, but have a lovely weight to them. They swing gracefully, and are not at all delicately made – you need not fear they will become damaged through wear.

The earrings fasten at the back, preventing them from becoming lost.

The earrings have a drop of 32.5mm from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the sphere. The daisy’s have a 7.55mm diameter, and the spheres measure 7.6mm x 7.5mm
Weigh 3.5 grams (pair)

You can see a short video of these earrings on my Instagram account @secret_histories, or online here.

Condition:
In perfect vintage condition, ready for immediate and everyday wear.
