Azure Depths : Vintage Blue Topaz Solitaire Ring in 9ct Yellow Gold

Sold

The crowning glory in this vintage 9ct gold ring is a spectacular cushion cut natural topaz. I have never seen a topaz with such sparkle, depth and brilliance – it could easily pass for an aquamarine or blue zircon. Dating to the 1960/1970’s, this vintage piece is a real conversation starter – it’s impossible to ignore! You can easily get lost in those icy blue depths. Maybe don’t wear this one while driving 😉

Manufacture:
Modelled in solid 9ct yellow gold, the large natural blue topaz is held securely in a coronet setting. All 10 of the prongs are in excellent condition and hold the stone firmly in place. The band splits at the shoulders with decorative lozenges at each side. Hallmarked 9ct to the inside of the band.

The topaz measures 10mm x 10.5mm x 6.3 mm which is approximately 4.25 carats.
The band is 2.6mm wide and 1.4mm thick.
The ring weighs 3.6 grams

Condition:
This stunning piece shows very little signs of wear for its 60 years. There are some minor abrasions to the stone only visible under magnification an a small chip to the culet. It is in very good vintage condition and is ready for immediate and everyday wear.
